On the night when the time changes to reflect daylight savings (GMT+1 to GMT+2 in Summer and GMT+2 to GMT+1 in Winter) all punch clocks that are online will receive a command from our servers to update the time and reboot.
In the majority of cases, this is an automatic process and no intervention is needed from your end.
However there are cases where the punch clock does not receive the command or does not reboot, so the time on the punch clock will not be correct. This means that punches happening after the change in daylights savings will be one hour off.
We recommend that you always check that the time on the device is correct once the time change has come into effect. The time is always shown on the screen of the device, so a quick glance is all that is needed.
If you notice that the time is not correct, we suggest you start by simply rebooting the device. In many cases, the time will be corrected automatically. If this does not work, please contact our support team so that we can troubleshoot further.
Important – do not change the time on the punch clock manually and do not change the time zone manually. This will interfere with the server settings.
If you use our smartphone app to punch in, no actions are needed.
