DataByte launches Two Factor Authentication (2FA) login within Fusion

PaperlessWe are pleased to announce that we have launched the functionality to login with a Two Factor Authentication (2FA) system for all our Fusion clients and trial users.

Two Factor Authentication, also known as 2FA is an additional layer of security that is known as “multi factor authentication”. This increases security because it requires not only a password and username but also something that only that user has on them – such as their smartphone.

With 2FA enabled, the user is prompted to enter a code from an application that is installed on their smartphone. The user also has the option to set the system to “remember” the 2FA login for a period of time so that it does not become intrusive for users who log in frequently.

The update is part of a planned security upgrade for the platform in preparation for the new HR Docs module that will be released in the coming months which will have a GDPR management console built-in.

The 2FA login option is available for both Android and iOS devices.
